PHASE 3: PLANNING

The Planning phase builds upon the project classification, focusing on development of a detailed Project Plan to guide the team through the implementation of the project. During this phase, the Project Lead and Project Manager collaborate with the project team to further define the project’s scope, establish a schedule, outline communication strategies, and allocate necessary resources.

The project plan is then briefed to your Organizational Leadership Team for approval to implement with CIO approval for ITS departments.

Once approved, the project proceeds to Phase 4: Implementation.

  1. Executive Director reviews and updates project banding as appropriate
  2. Project Plan brief to your Organizational Leadership Team (Platinum and Gold)
  3. Organizational approval to implement project with CIO approval for ITS departments  
  4. Brief OneIT Executive Committee on Project Plan section

Once you've completed the steps in Phase 3: Planning, you will move on to Phase 4: Implementation.
