PHASE 3: PLANNING

The Planning phase builds upon the project classification, focusing on development of a detailed Project Plan to guide the team through the implementation of the project. During this phase, the Project Lead and Project Manager collaborate with the project team to further define the project’s scope, establish a schedule, outline communication strategies, and allocate necessary resources. 

Once the Project Plan is finalized, the project is scored in preparation for prioritization by the Executive Director of the responsible department or designee and is submitted to the Executive Committee and CIO for prioritization and approval. 

Once approved, the project proceeds to Phase 4: Implementation.

  2. Executive Committee reviews prioritization and provides suggestions to the CIO
  3. CIO approves project prioritization and resourcing
    • Departmental leaders approve Low Classification projects
