PHASE 3: PLANNING

The Planning phase builds upon the project classification, focusing on development of a detailed Project Plan to guide the team through the implementation of the project. During this phase, the Project Lead and Project Manager collaborate with the project team to further define the project’s scope, establish a schedule, outline communication strategies, and allocate necessary resources.

The project plan is then shared with the Executive Committee for final consideration or updates. The CIO is responsible for final signoff on the project, as well as approval of the departmental priority.

Once approved, the project proceeds to Phase 4: Implementation.
