HawkAI is a new artificial intelligence training program available to faculty, staff, and students. The program includes foundational courses and more advanced courses in machine learning (ML) methods especially valuable in data-driven research.

HawkAI certificates awarded for completion

Enrollees can complete individual short courses or finish a sequence and earn a certificate. The Level 1 sequence launched last fall, focusing on generative AI—tools to create text, images, computer code, and other content—and ethical considerations.

New compute nodes added to the Interactive Data Analytics Service (IDAS)

The nodes bolster both standard compute and graphics processing unit (GPU) capabilities for the growing AI demand on campus. The expansion included the first AI-specific GPUs in IDAS, purchased with AI model building and tuning in mind.
