Tracy Scott (top, right) will take on the role of departmental leader for ITS Enterprise Services (ES), effective March 1, reporting to Associate Vice President and CIO Steve Fleagle. Scott has demonstrated strong leadership skills at the helm of Service Management and Support (SMS) in ES since 2016 and was promoted to senior IT director in 2019. He has been part of ITS for nearly 25 years, starting as a student employee at the Help Desk. He will remain on the OneIT Operations Team and will join the ITS Leadership Team.

The Custom Solutions and Integrations (CSI) team will continue reporting to Tim Evans (bottom, right), departmental leader for the CIO Office. Evans has led both ES and the CIO Office since 2010. He will continue as the executive director of the CIO Office and provide oversight of the human resources, finance, communication, and project management functions, along with CSI. He will also help to advance some of the future initiatives we have planned for OneIT. Fleagle expressed his gratitude to Evans for assuming the additional role of leading ES for many years and for supporting Scott's growth into the position.

A recipient of the Board of Regents Staff Excellence Award, Scott is known for being respectful, patient, a champion for positive change, and able to bridge diverse business models and cultures. He has played a key role in transforming IT at the UI, including unification of campus desktop support and implementation of a centralized ticketing system. Scott is heavily involved in ITS and Health Care Information Systems (HCIS) collaborations, having led much of the planning for shared IT service-management tools and processes, migrating to Office 365 as a single email service for the UI, and transitioning to Skype for Business for telephony. He has helped lead evaluations for Regents-wide equipment and software licenses such as the Microsoft campus agreement and the Dell computer contract. Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in management information systems and his executive MBA, both from the UI Tippie College of Business.
