We are pleased to announce that Tony Clark has accepted the position of IT director for the College of Pharmacy, effective Jan. 18. Clark retired from the Air Force after 25 years. As a commissioned officer, he held IT-related leadership positions for 16 of those years. His IT experience includes leading organizations specializing in project management, network accreditation and compliance, help desk, network operations and security, IT planning, defensive cyber operations, and the Global Hawk Program, which uses unmanned aircraft systems to gather intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance information.

Clark earned a bachelor’s degree in computer studies from the University of Maryland while stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He has a master’s degree in information systems from the University of Maryland, and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification. In addition, he has worked for the University of Iowa as an assistant professor of aerospace studies teaching Air Force ROTC. Clark is married with three children and his hobbies include hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
