As we reflect on the past year, I am filled with gratitude for the amazing work OneIT has done to support the university's mission, and to help the campus community explore and take advantage of evolving technologies like artificial intelligence.

Enhancements to computational services are aiding research and creative discovery. A learning analytics solution is helping instructors understand how students engage with course materials. A new tool is pointing students to career services tailored to their needs.

University employees are discovering the convenience of Microsoft Teams for collaboration and video conferencing and starting to incorporate productivity solutions like Microsoft Copilot into their daily work as a secure option for generative AI. Excellent technical support, IT security, and robust infrastructure are foundational to all of our efforts, and we continue to work closely with our colleagues in health care IT to coordinate activities.

A key highlight of 2023 was the creation of a new strategic plan for OneIT. The plan was developed by OneIT leaders with input from our many campus partners. It outlines four goals that align with the university's strategic priorities. The goals focus on enhancing teaching and learning, supporting research and creative discovery, leveraging data to inform decision-making, and strengthening OneIT's culture, capabilities, and structures to deliver value and excellence. We are currently accomplishing our first-year tactics for the plan and starting to develop tactics for the second year, which begins this fall.

The stories and metrics in this report are examples of the impact OneIT has on the institution, and the IT community should be proud of its collective achievements. I also want to thank our partners for their ongoing engagement and contributions to these efforts.

Sincerely,
