In partnership with campus units, the End User Support (EUS) project team continues to make good progress in implementation of its three sub-projects. Several units have or are in the process of transitioning to the centralized model for desktop support, device management, or help desk services.

  • College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
  • Division of Continuing Education
  • Division of Student Life
    • Planning is underway to transition desktop support for the Iowa Memorial Union and Recreational Services to ITS Extended Technical Support. A timeline is being finalized for the fall.
    • Implementation of central services for University Housing & Dining was completed in fall 2015. As part of this transition, Kimberly Keister was welcomed to the ITS Extended Technical Support Team.
  • Law Library
    • The central desktop support model was implemented. As part of this transition, Jeremy Grasby was welcomed to the ITS Help Desk.
  • Office of Strategic Communication
    • The central desktop support model is being implemented.
    • An IT needs assessment has been completed and implementation plans are in progress.
  • Office of the Vice President for Finance and Operations
    • Central services were implemented for the Finance and Operations, Treasury, Business Office, Risk Management, Human Resources, and Payroll units. As part of this transition, Bob Eubanks and Adam Burden were welcomed to the ITS Extended Technical Support Team in summer 2015.
    • Planning is underway to transition desktop support for Business Services to ITS Extended Technical Support. Plans are being finalized for the fall.
  • Office of the Vice President for Research
    • ITS has provided desktop, device-management, and help desk support for the administrative and central OVPR units for some time, and is now working with the smaller units that report up.
    • The Center for Biocatalysis and Bioprocessing and Office of the State Archaeologist have adopted the central services, and transition plans are in development for four other OVPR units.
  • University Libraries
    • The central desktop support model was implemented. As part of this transition, Jodi Scholl and Will Brown were welcomed to the ITS Extended Technical Support Team.
