In its first year, the Application Portfolio Management (APM) project team worked with campus IT leaders to populate a portfolio of software applications purchased and developed at the UI. This portfolio allows IT leadership to identify duplicate applications and opportunities for application refactoring or consolidation.

Additionally, the team coordinated the refactoring or retirement of 120 campus applications.

The application portfolio team has completed a majority of its project work but still has a handful of tasks to complete, including the refactoring of four remaining applications: Bamboo, Checkout System, Digital Signage, and a Web Conferencing Solution.

Throughout summer 2016 the APM team will be working with the Project Management Office and Governance project teams to identify a long-term custodian for the application portfolio.
